What is the purpose of life?
Simply put the purpose of life is to grow and to evolve. With each experience we come a tiny bit closer to realizing that that we are One. One with All That Is. One with God. Thus, life on earth or life on any of the nearly infinite realms of creation is about spiritual growth. It's about our spiritual awareness growing till we know and experience ourself as One with God.
In this pursuit it is essential to Know Thyself. This means to know the real you. And what is the real you? We can call it your Authentic Self, and from the perspective of spiritual growth it's the single most important thing along our path to know our Authentic Self.
In Oneness they say we must see reality as it is. But if we do not know our Authentic Self it becomes impossible to do so. Instead, what we see is a projection of our past karma, our prior conditioning, our wounds, hurts, shame, guilt, greed, need for importance and a whole host of other "things" that are not our Authentic Self. According to my spiritual guides, 80%+ of humanity does not react to reality but instead reacts to their skewed perception of reality. The end result is we aren't nearly as free as we like to think.
More importantly, we halt our ability to grow spiritually. Because only our Authentic Self can grow and evolve. The other aspects of our self cannot. It's impossible. Thus, underneath each religion, each spiritual path, each and every vehicle to achieve spiritual growth lies the absolute need to Know Thyself.
Ultimately, we come to realize that Hi, this is Rev. Kerry. It has been said that there are as many paths toward spiritual advancement as there are people, each person has a unique path. However, there is one key element that all paths have in common, and that is to Know Thyself. It's the key towards spiritual growth and the evolution of our awareness as One with God.
I invite you to join me as we learn more about uncovering our Authentic Self, about knowing Thyself. I personally consider this topic of utmost importance for those on a spiritual path, whatever that path may be. Together, we'll journey inside ourselves, to see the reasons why we think and act as we do. Until, ultimately we are truly free. Awake. Enlightened. God Realized.
