This is about the keys toward, and path to Enlightenment, which starts on Thursday, October 22nd.
What is Enlightenment?
Enlightenment is one of several states of higher consciousness. There are others, such as Divine Will, where our will merges with the Will of the Divine. There is God Realization, where we merge with the totality of All That Is. And there are experiences of higher consciousness such as Divine Peace, Divine Purpose and experiencing our self as the other.
For Enlightenment one can say it is the cessation or disappearance of the personality ego. The personality ego is the little me, the person we think we are. Everything we like, dislike, have an opinion or judgement about comes from this personality ego. When it dissolves, when there is no more little ego opposing the bigger Self, you become the real You. That bigger You is not just you, but it is connected to all life, all things. So You start seeing life from this perspective, not just your needs but the needs of others. Not just your desires, but the desires of humanity and all life on earth, and in the larger sense all creation. How does one experience Enlightenment?
In India you can get a t-shirt that says "Same same, but different", that's a pretty good description. I wouldn't say you become totally different, but you will notice that you're more accepting of others, of situations. You don't get caught up in drama or negativity. You'll find you're not so invested in being right and defending your position. And the times when you are wrong, when your point of view harms others, you'll be more forgiving of yourself and others. Before Enlightenment we are so insistent upon having something this way or that way, primarily because we define our self that way too. We take things personally, as an afront to us as a person, our character. But with Enlightenment strangely you no longer see yourself like this, you can disagree with something or someone and not feel offended in any way. You find there is nothing to defend. And it's not because you're trying to be accepting, or tolerant, or forgiving. What has happened is the brain has been re-wired such that you simply cannot process information the same way anymore. The net result is life becomes easier, it flows, there is less stress, far less anxiety, more peace, more comfort and when a problem arises you simply deal with it and move on. You don't define yourself by the problems you face and you no longer see yourself as a victim of others, or of life, or of God. It's like every day is a good day, even the days you used to label as bad days. It all becomes good once this inner conflict has subsided. What is this month's Webinar: Keys to Enlightenment about?
In this this lifetime I've been fortunate to meet and become friends with a spiritual group that specialized in Enlightenment, making people Awakened (a precursor to Enlightenment) and then Enlightened. It's a group I've been involved with for over 20 years, and it's the same group that I knew in other worlds long before incarnating into this life.
